Bamboo Toothbrush

Dentists recommend replacing your toothbrush every two months. When it is time for you to switch out your toothbrush, you can reuse it as a household brush for cleaning those tiny nooks and crannies. Once your toothbrush has fulfilled its reuse lifespan, you can use it as a garden marker or toss in your bio-waste bin after removing the bristles with pliers. If you do not have pliers, simply snap the head off the toothbrush. 

While the bristles are not compostable, they produce less than a gram of plastic waste in comparison to an entire plastic toothbrush. Your bamboo toothbrush should break down entirely within a few weeks when disposed by your local bio-waste industrial composter, and will take slightly longer if simply tossed in your trash.
